Model Description
The KE-7A was an M4-derived camera made by Ernst Leitz Canada for a United States military requirement. The body was finished in black chrome and supplied in military sets, commonly with the Canadian-made 50mm f/2 ELCAN lens. Military examples carry contract identification, while a small number of related civilian cameras also exist. 505 cameras are represented across the recorded variants. The KE-7A retained the mechanical rangefinder arrangement of the M4; its distinction lies principally in its military specification, supply and associated equipment rather than in a new photographic operating system.
