Model Description
The Leica IIf was the simplified companion to the IIIf. It retained the coupled rangefinder, optical viewfinder and flash synchronization but omitted the separate slow-speed mechanism normally identified by the front shutter dial. Black Dial and Red Dial forms followed the synchronization changes made to the IIIf, and later versions were available with a 1/1000-second maximum shutter setting. The IIf therefore provided the normal rangefinder functions of the IIIf while dispensing with the long timed exposures of the III-series shutter.
